Yo Gotti made a documentary while making music for "White Friday."
For his new mixtape White Friday, Yo Gotti wanted to make sure his team would work in the best possible conditions. He also wanted camera crews following him around for nine days -- the length of time it would take to cut music. The result is a documentary series called "Behind the Nine;" the first part premiered today on Complex.
"Behind the Nine" introduces us to the main guys on Yo Gotti's team, his entrepreneurial frame of mind, and their luxurious fortress of solitude in the high hills of California set up to give them peace of mind while they navigate the task at hand.
"I challenged myself to do this in nine days in the house with my homies," the Memphis rapper said. "It was the type of energy I needed to go back to the original feel of Cocaine Muzik."
The ninth installment of the CM mixtape series White Friday is available now on iTunes.

To coincide with his newly-released White Friday: CM9 mixtape, Yo Gotti is also rolling out a new documentary series called “Behind The Nine,” which gives fans a closer look into the recording process & days leading up to its release.
Having caught part 1 just the other day, Gotti links up with producer Ben Billions and the two create & record what will become the track “Weatherman” featuring Kodak Black live from his “living room” studio in this new part two clip.
Later, the Memphis veteran sits down with the cameras & talks about his label and what separates him from other CEO’s.
